The first day of the 2010-2011 school year is fast approaching. While I have left a few of our posts from last year, most of our Mull-It-Overs have been hidden for now so that our blog is new and fresh . . . and last year's activities are tucked away so as not to reveal them too soon to our new sixth graders!
Enjoy your last few days of summer! See you on August 30th!
The Annual Sixth Grade Art Gallery was held this year on Monday, May 3rd. We had a wonderful turnout - 155 attendees!!! Thank you to all of the parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, and friends, who came to view all our hard work. The appetizers were delicious - we had cheese and crackers, shrimp, meatballs, and much more! I don't think anyone went away hungry. This was a big night for the kids and the full participation by family and friends really made them feel special
We had a roomful of grandparents and special visitors today! They spent time with us as we worked with Kindergarten Writing Buddies, read our original stories, worked on math, painted our most recent masterpieces, played a wild spelling game, and even showed them a trick or two! Thank you for coming grandparents - your presence today was appreciated by your grandchildren as well as the whole Our Redeemer Faculty and Staff! We hope to see you again next year!
Welcome to the Burger Kids Blog! This will be the link to visit when you want to see examples of our classroom art. These are projects from our Art Gallery which is held in the spring. Your child will be learning about famous artists and trying their hand at replicating some famous artwork. We will also be working on an all-class paper mache' project that will be the centerpiece of our art gallery. Last year, we made "Daisy", the colorful fantasy bird shown here! I hope you enjoy seeing our classroom art - please share this blog with your friends and family! -Mrs. Burger
